At the NCC "Braka Miladinovci" on October 7th (Sunday) at 20.00, a visit to the monodrama "I, Selma" is scheduled. The visit to Struga is part of the SELMA TRAVEL ... project, which is part of the manifestation Nov Cultural Wave of the Ministry of Culture.
"Me, SELMA" - monodrama
In the not too distant future in Skopje, there is a refugee after Selma. It is the only one that manages to cross the Macedonian-Greek border, the day when the media announce that the borders are being closed and no migrant will be able to enter the country, even if it passes through it.
The monodrama "Me, Selma" is a collage of nine pieces for the refugee from Damascus and actress Simona from Skopje: for their first meeting, about Selma's falling in love with a boy from the protests, about (not) embracing in the life of Skopje, but also about her desire to leave from here. This play may not speak so much about Selma as it is about us. The constant "loss" of the line that is who in the play and whether the actress or fugitive speaks, emphasizes our (un) acceptance of the similarities we have with the young Selma.
